Proof of Birth tells the story of Luis Gonzáalez, a young illegal Mexican immigrant, on his quest to obtain a legal Driver's License in New York City. All what Luis Gonzalez wants is to send money to his family back home. But life is not simple in the United States. The tests that Luis faces on his road trip are extreme and varied, forcing the formerly invisible immigrant to stand up and declare his identity.

Todo lo qué Luís González desea es enviarle dinero a su familia. Pero la vida no es fácil en los Estados Unidos.
