An unnerving encounter with her estranged father at a night club while on a weekend back home in Lima is enough to remind Lia (19) that there are unhealed wounds. Through a series of disturbing events that night, she will be forced to understand that the only person who can take care of her now is herself.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR(S)
Thais Drassinower is a Los Angeles-based Peruvian filmmaker who holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing from Columbia University. A storyteller with a passion for female-driven narratives that empower diversity on the screen, her previous films have been recognized on the festival circuit through various grants and awards. “Baby” (2018) is her latest short film.
