The Latino Film Institute (LFI) showcases, strengthens and celebrates the richness of Latino lives by providing a pipeline, platform, and launching pad from our community into the entertainment industry.

Youth Cinema Project

The Youth Cinema Project (YCP) is project-based learning that impacts its participants in life-changing ways. Graduates of the YCP are resilient, real-world problem solvers. They are budding artists who learn the skills needed to bridge achievement and opportunity gaps – they are passionate, lifelong students catapulting towards the entertainment industry’s multicultural future.

LALIFF

The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) is the premier international event dedicated to reveling in the Latino human experience through film, television, music, visual art, or any form of expression that defies category. With five days of both in-person and virtual screenings, masterclasses, panels, and performances, LALIFF is a garden of creativity and a celebration of Latino life.

LFI Fellowships

The LFI Fellowships are ongoing programs focused on building a more inclusive and equitable entertainment industry. The fellowships focus their resources on championing underrepresented filmmakers, granting each fellow funding to produce a short film, along with individualized mentorship and industry networking opportunities.
 

LFI Scholar & Policy

Latino Film Institute Scholar was created to support the research by our community on the impact of Latinos living in the United States have on the entertainment industry.
