LATINX IN ANIMATION

LatinX in Animation (LXiA) unearths the exceptional, diverse talent that exists within the animation, VFX, and gaming industries.

They wield the power of artmaking to champion the growth of LatinX diversity in all facets of the animation industry by organizing activities and events focused on networking, camaraderie, community service, education, communication, and professional development.
LXiA began in Spring 2018 when Magdiela Hermida Duhamel sought to create a LatinX community for animation professionals. With the help of Bryan Dimas, Duhamel began organizing activities and events which aspired to sow the seeds of a tight-knit, united LatinX family of artists. Years later, LatinX in Animation now provides resources to promote and develop artists and decision-makers in the animation, VFX, and gaming industries.
