Hector Chaira is a youth champion with a demonstrated history of impact work. He has extensive experience in expanded learning, community school initiatives, workforce development, housing, and programs that support student achievement and organizational development. Community driven and inspired by grassroots action, his goal is to create access to opportunities that cultivate potential for young people and advance our people and communities.

If I were a movie genre, I would be a fantasy so I can immerse myself in fictional stories and imaginary worlds others have created that are so fascinating.

If you could instantly become an expert in anything, what would it be?

If I could instantly become an expert in anything, I would instantly become an expert writer. A poet! The infinite vocabulary and dynamic curation of words to express feelings or thoughts is powerful and so moving.

Beyond nurturing the fellows’ creative vision, she oversaw the coordination that allowed each film to come to life, managing logistics, schedules, and on-the-ground production needs with precision and care.
