Submissions to the 20th Edition of LALIFF Are Now Open

We invite all latinx artists to participate in this year’s edition of LALIFF by submitting their work for consideration.

We look forward to showcasing your creativity, talent and resilience.

Submission Categories

U.S. Feature Films

Films of any genre, completed after January 1 2020 and with a running time of more than 60 minutes (50 for documentaries) are welcome to submit to the Festival. Only features made in the United States will be eligible for this category.

Regular Submission Deadline: February 9 to March 12, 2021
Late Submission Deadline: March 13 to April 1, 2021

U.S. & International Short Films

Films of any genre, completed after January 1 2020 and with a running time of less than 60 minutes (50 for documentaries) are welcome to submit to the Festival.

Regular Submission Deadline: February 9 to March 12, 2021
Late Submission Deadline: March 13 to April 1, 2021

U.S. & International Episodics

Scripted or improvised fiction of any genre as well as documentary series, are welcome to submit to the Festival. Applicants may submit single or multiple episodes of the same project, provided that the total running time does not exceed 180 minutes, including credits.

Regular Submission Deadline: February 9 to March 12, 2021
Late Submission Deadline: March 13 to April 1, 2021

U.S and International Music Performers

By submitting to LALIFF Music, you enter the opportunity to perform for the LALIFF Music series which will take place in June 2021. Applicants will be notified via email by early April 2021. Submissions are open for musicians and DJs from around the world, who are required to fill out our LALIFF Music application form and include samples of their work.
